Refused to Provide Information!

Received a call from this company threatening to sue for a debt over 10 years old! I demanded they mail information on this debt. She outright refused to supply any information. She stated the original debt was $800 and JJ will sue for over $3000. She kept yelling, "Don't play with me!" over and over again. All the while threatening to sue! Finally, she abruptly hung up without giving any information! I have not received any information on this so-called debt. Can they sue?

Keep texting that they have been trying to locate me and to call this number 888-721-4079 which is JJ Legal. One text said "to avoid non-compliance and escalation call that 888 number. Another is to call their office at the same number and refer to an account. Sounds like bull, reported scam text. Do not fall a victim! Do not return call, forward spam text to 7726, most carriers will take it from there!

JJ legal has been texting me and my family members saying for me to contact them about legal matters. Finally called them back and they have my last 4 of my social and saying Capital One and Bank of America are taking legal action against me. I told her that they are scamming because I am in great standing with Capital One and never been delinquent and I have never banked with Bank of America. She also said I had an outstanding balance on an SIA card, whatever that is but I knew she was lying and called her out on it. She said they were going to move forward with the motion and I told her go ahead I will wait to be served. They have several numbers that they use 888-721-3336, 888-721-4680, 502-591-6352.

Received a phone call July 22nd and they asked for Shannon, which is my daughter's name. I told him she doesn't live here. He asked me to get in touch with her and tell her they are trying to find her to serve a court order. I called my daughter and she called the number he gave me. She called back and they told her it wasn't her they were looking for but they were looking for her mother which is strange because they called me first and asked for her. I called them back at the number my daughter gave me and asked for the extension #, but that threw off the person that answered as if they didn't have extension numbers. I give her the mans name I was given. He said it was about a vehicle that was repossessed in 2009. It was sold at auction but there was still $9000 owed. He said if I paid before they served the papers I could pay only $2369 which I told him I didn't have. I told him I live on Social Security and have no money. He then said I could pay $1695 and make payment on the rest. I was in tears by this time and again told him I had no money. He knew two of my addresses including the present one, the last four of my social, and some more info. What worries me is that the repossession was correct. The car was bought 12 years ago in 2008 and was repossessed the following year in 2009 due to hardship. After thinking about it, I would think there is a statute of limitations on suing me and it was on my credit report for 7 years and then came off. I don't know how to verify it is a scam. After reading some of the others here, I think it must be.

Fraudulent business she's been doing with different companies. Scammer name is Ms. Harris. She said they had been looking for our caller for a long time. When our caller tried to get more information, Ms. Harris hung up.
