Claimed they have been trying to reach my employee by mail unsucessfully, and so called and got an email address to send a demand letter. The letter stated there was an unpaid medical debt related to a workman's comp claim in 2002 (not a typo). They claim the original bill was $448 and today, with interest, they are demanding $2,636.30. As the employer, I called to speak to Alexis at JA (as they call themselves), and she stated she could not speak to me without Martin's permission. After some investigating, I called Alexis back and asked her if she was aware of the statute of limitations on collections in Florida. It went south from there - my last words to her before she disconnected the call was "You should be ashamed...."
