I was looking for a puppy for our kids. We have had a rough year and wanted to add some spontaneous joy to the year. Looked like a fine site. They had discounted puppies and free shipping coupons. I tried paying with two online forms of payment but they didn’t work. I was told I could purchase gift cards to pay and that people liked doing that when they didn’t feel comfortable using their accounts directly. I purchased Amex gift cards to pay for the puppy. Then next day I was contacted by the shipping company and was told he needed a special crate and would have to rent a crate but would be reimbursed on arrival. I told them I couldn’t pay this amount. He then said if I didn’t, it’s considered puppy abandonment and I could go to jail for that. Of course I didn’t want to abandon any animal so I said I could pay a portion. Gave it to them and they told me I had to pay the rest of the amount, so I did. Four hours passed so I called to check on the arrival time. He told me I waited too long and the puppy needed a different ticket so I now had to pay additional money. I told him I could not. He told me to quit complaining and just pay the money so they could complete the order and get the puppy to us. I refused. My husband and I did some research we should have done initially and found out this was a scam. I now go onto their page and it’s gone. I feel so foolish.
