I got a text from an unknown # that read, "Good Morning, you are invited to submit for a commercial shoot, email your recent headshot to [email protected] for more details." We went back and forth after I submitted my acting materials to James. It was for a commercial shoot that paid $***. He waited the appropriate time to finally "hire me" however there were no in person auditions. Actors were booked off of their headshots and acting reels. First red flag. I also asked him how he came about my contact information (phone #). Please see the attached screen shot of his latest email to me about booking the job. He asked me to open a bank account with Discover.com and that they would put the money in there. First $***, then another $*** after I completed the photoshoot. Why on earth would an actor have to open a bank account? It was complete bull***. Watch out for this scam and other acting job scams.
