I was selling a Gucci leather jacket on Ebay that's worth $2,800, for $1,000. A prospective buyer contact me with the username: sssso_ekutjvb. He messaged me and was asking if the listing was still available to purchase. He gave his personal mobile number and proceeded to asked me if I would text him on his number for a faster response.On his profile on Ebay account indicated that his location was in Illinois but the address he sent me was in Miami, Florida. He asked for overnight shipping and offered $1,150 which included the cost for overnight shipping. He was going to pay for the item through PayPal. I received a fake email from a fake PayPal saying that he sent over the money and the transaction is 95% complete but in order for the money to go into my account i would have to prove i sent the package by sending the tracking number. So I b sent the package before receiving any payments and it said it would take 24 hours for the money to process,mind you i never received notifications from the PayPal app and there werent any transactions showing or pending. So a day later he says and the fake email as well claims my account is too small and must have 500$ in it to expand in order for the money to go in so the buyer offered to put in 500$ but the only way he was going to do that was if i prove i was going to send the 500 back by buying 5 $100 apple gift cards. So at this point I realize its a scam, notice the fake paypal email and I attempt to intercept the package but its too late because he already signed and picked it up.So the post office is trying to retrieve it but I figured the only possible way I can possibly get the package back and report the scammer was to report it here. I would appreciate any help to get my jacket back and to find a way to stop this scammer because It really isn't fair that people work so hard for money and there's scammers like him who just take it away instead of getting their own money from a job etc.
