Upon doing basic research for this "company", I realized that everything on their website is shallow. There isn't any work product (examples of the work they have done for clients) or client reviews.
They show real people working there, but the only pictures available are from a "conference" that apparently took place earlier this year, but I couldn't find anything about it online. The videos from the conference look staged and combined with the fact that there is no evidence online that this conference ever took place, I am tempted to believe that it was faked to help this "company" look real.
I was informed on Sunday afternoon that training would take place at a different address than the address on the JB3 Consulting website. This address is in an entirely different city than the address on the website. In fact, this address is listed as Black Label Solutions, and upon researching Black Label Solutions, I noticed that they have a lot of shared staff, the website is just as shallow, and the reviews are especially suspicious. All the 5-star reviews were given by employees, while all the 1 and 2-star reviews were very recent and seem to be written by customers. The complaint in one of these 1-star reviews was that Black Label Solutions was a pyramid scheme. This review specifically warned that they targeted young, recent graduates and made promises they couldn't keep. This review also alleges that BLS buries the bad reviews with good reviews from employees.
At this point, I am beyond suspicious. When I asked John Paul Bieller directly via text for a written description of duties, an example of an employment contract, and a salary breakdown, he said that it would be handled at training on Monday morning. I asked again for these documents so that I could review them prior to training, and instead of sending me the documents, he texted me a brief salary summary that made no mention of payment methods, benefits, or details about bonuses. All this to say, I had to ask 3 different times for very basic documentation about the most basic details of a job, and I still never received the documents. At this point in the text conversation, I informed John Paul Bieller that I did not think we were a good fit and I would not be continuing with JB3 Consulting.
In summary, I was hired in a matter of hours, I was denied the most basic documents associated with a new job, and there was a severe lack of information about this company on the internet.
