Type of a scam Bank/Credit Card Company Imposter
"Hi XXXX,
I have been in contact with the Jazz Band and I had informed them that you will be
handling the function, so they just gave me unconditional confirmation for the date and my
booking with them. However, for a proper arrangement, I will need a little favor from you
today,Unfortunately I have not paid the Jazz Band Group. I am unable to pay them directly
due to the fact that they are not set up for credit card payment which is the only way I could
make payment at the moment.
I will be giving you my card details to charge through the sum of $2800 and you keep
$800 as deposit for your service and have the remaining $2000 sent to the Jazz Band via a
bank transfer once you have my funds cleared in your account.I really need you to help me
do this today, in other to avoid any problem with the booking,they had advised me to pay
before due date in other for them to confirm my booking prior to the date. I hope you
understand me by putting my condition into consideration and I am sorry if however this
causes you some inconvenience.
Kindly get back to me if there's any extra amount due to this transaction so I can send
you my card details for the transaction right away.
