I was contacted on Facebook by an old church associate who said that he saw my name on a list of Grant awardees. He Said that he had been awarded $10,000 but had to pay $800 in overnight delivery for a grant aimed at low income seniors. He urged me, and kept writing me, To claim mine and gave me the number of Jeffrey Smith as above. I called and was told that he was not available but he texted me back and asked for all my personal information except for my Social Security number and bank account information. It took me several days to come to a conclusion which, unfortunately was the wrong one. As my friend said that he had already banked his money, I did give Jeffrey or his associate my information. Then it suddenly occurred to me that I was not in fact talking to my friends but by a hacked scammer. I have contacted the scammer and told them to leave me alone and that I would Ru I did give Jeffrey or his associate my information.
