Wanted to have bathroom floor removed and new one put in with floor leveling. He started to take bathroom apart and stated tub was not installed correctly and there was black mold. Insisted that the entire wall floor and tub be redone totally 16,000$. Had a paper contract and agees to discount 2000.00 if I paid upfront and they would be the everyday until complete. He demoed the bathroom pretty quickly saying it would take a week, 2 weeks tops to complete. Those weeks turned into months. He would come by maybe once a week as would work an hour, hour and a half tops. He had gotten the floor leveled and built the frame( although is still crooked and had to be reinforced with more support.) he always had an excuse why he could complete work. He had Cement poured that dripped through the floor onto the finished basement floors and cabinets. I finally had to let him go in June when the tile people he hired had quit after two days because they are not getting payment for their labor and material. Jon agreed he would reimburse $8000 of the 14,000$ received less 6000 for supplies and labor. It is now October and I have managed to recoup $2845 of the 10000.00 through the AG office. Turns out he is not a sub contractor and does not work under anyone’s Lorena’s nor does he have a contractor license. Buyer beware as he has done this to multiple people and will either provide inadequate finished product you will have to hire someone else to fix or not complete your project at all.
