My faith got the better of me and gave him a follow and reached out with my reason for needing financial help which I do need.
He replied with a "congrats" and offered to pay me the $3,500 via Cash-app.
He told me his agent would reach out via email with the confirmation and once I received the link to accept the money it required me to pay a clearance fee for Cash-app to be able to send it through. This seemed realistic because these fees do exist however he instructed me to buy bitcoin through the Cash-app crypto function and send the bitcoin to a specific "clearance address".
After I completed this I realized that I never received any of the $3,500 and was lied to and scammed.
This is outrageous. He is targeting people who are in need on social media with charitable promises and just stealing from people.
I don't want this to happen to anyone else. This person must be stopped!
