JiffyDoctor is a scam!
NO REPUTABLE BUSINESS WOULD ISSUE A BLANKET “DISCLAIMER” LIKE THAT, AND THAT “DISCLAIMER” DOES NOT EXCUSE OR RELEASE THE BUSINESS FROM PROVIDING THE SERVICE YOU PAID FOR, nor does it mean they can treat you however they see fit.
Their website requires you to choose a time for your appointment. In spite of me selecting a 7am appointment, a pop up said something about text messages going out at 9am for appointments. It made no sense. I pre-paid for that 7am appointment, yet I received no call. After waiting several hours, I waited until 12:30 to begin trying to reach out and message them to find out what was going on. When I finally received a response, I was immediately told, “you need to calm down” and basically we have other people we are dealing with besides you. Unnecessary. Then I was told that I obviously can’t read or have trouble comprehending what I read, and I’m not getting a refund because I should’ve understood better.
So yeah…
JIFFY DOCTOR MAKES YOU PAY IN ADVANCE FOR SERVICES THAT HAVEN’T EVEN BEEN CONDUCTED, THEN DOES HALF THE JOB, TELLS YOU IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT, AND WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO REACH SOMEONE TO TRY TO CLEAR UP ANY CONFUSION, YOU ARE VERY RUDELY AND CONDESCENDINGLY SCOLDED WHILE BEING ADMONISHED FOR NOT BEING SMARTER ABOUT THEIR CONVOLUTED WEBSITE.
Getting someone to actually talk to you is impossible. You have to go through email or instant messenger. The doctor I finally got to speak with at 3p said he didn’t know anything about anything. He just calls patients. He said he would have someone from the office call me, and they never did. Instead, the person (when they finally did contact me) just argued back and forth with me over emails and messenger as if she were the one paying my bill. Instead of attempting to de-escalate the situation, she threw gas on the fire. No accountability for any part of why I was disappointed in my experience. She even told me that she would turn me in to OMMA to put a mark on my record with them if I didn’t give her the full $50 for the “full service” they didn’t perform. They claim I didn’t give them my payment information to pay the state, but they deducted $50 from my credit card. If I didn’t give it to you, how did you charge me the $50? I got my recertification, and after 48 hours of them not logging into my account and uploading the info, I logged in and did it myself. I also paid the state fees myself.
That’s not “full service”. That’s you doing a recertification (a literal two minute call with some unknown person who says they are the doctor) and me doing the rest. SET THE EXPECTATION. Don’t leave patients wondering and waiting. I called my credit card company, and they agreed. They only did half the job.
Apparently I’m not the only person who feels as though the quality of service has dropped dramatically here. I used them with my initial licensing two years ago and had ZERO problems whatsoever, so I know how good the service used to be compared to how I was treated while trying to use this service THIS time.
My recommendation: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. SAVE YOURSELF THE DRAMA USING THEM OR THE TROUBLE THEY CAN/WILL TRY TO GET YOU INTO WITH OMMA. There’s absolutely NOTHING ok with that. Ever.
