I was looking to purchase a schnauzer puppy and after sending the standard inquiry to various ones I got a response back from this particular site via email. The focus of the email was to find out if I was a good candidate for the puppy giving me lots of information and pictures, videos or the puppies so that I can could select the one I wanted. Once we picked the puppy we wanted I sent payment via Zelle for the dog which made me somewhat uncomfortable but I had done it in the past for another dog so I didnt think too much of it plus over the next few days he continued to update me on final vet check, registration and paperwork so I was feeling pretty good at that point. Yesterday I was contacted to let me know the puppy was being shipped via an Agency called Delta Trans Logistics and I was given a tracking number. Then this logistics place called to confirm the receipt of the dog..so so far so good. The I started getting multiple calls from this agency telling me there was a problem and that I needed to pay an additional $1500 for Pet Insurance and this money would be refunded to me once the puppy was in my hands. They sent me an very long email multiple times and calls from the phone number in California. At that point I realized something was wrong and reached out to the owner who would not call me but he did text saying he was calling. Subsequently he text me this message saying I had to pay the money for the insurance or they would keep the puppy. At this point I said I had fulfilled my end of the agreement and I either wanted the dog shipped or my money refunded. No response. My husband called all the phone numbers no luck. So I am out of $1100 plus having to tell my kid that we wont be getting the dog. PLEASE do not fall into the same trap I did. These guys are good at setting things to look legit.
