Type of a scam Home Improvement
The contractor constantly indicated that he was going to complete the work. However, he never showed up. I constantly called and texted the contractor, most times he would not respond. When he did answer the phone or respond to a text, he did not speak the truth.
Enclosed are copies three checks. Check 4797 in the amount of $6425 was a deposit for concrete work which the contractor completed last year. Check 4798 in the amount of $9255 was the final payment for the concrete work and a down payment for the purchase of composite deck materials. To further clarify, the total of both checks was $15860. Of the total, $12850 was paid for the concrete work and $2830 was paid to purchase the composite deck materials. Furthermore, as mentioned above and to add insult to injury, the contractor left our old deck materials for a 16’x16’ sized structure in our driveway for all to see. We ended up paying a junk pick up service $450 to haul the old materials away.
The reason for this compliant is to request your assistance in getting the contractor to return our $2830 deposit plus the $450 (total of $3280) fee paid to haul the old materials away. The contractor has no morals and does not have any remorse for his actions.
