The scammer used a fake job listing on indeed to lure in unsuspecting candidates like myself the scammer emailed me saying that they were conducting online interviews for a remote graphics designer position starting at 25 dollars an hour for training then 50 an hour after probation period they sent me a 15 question employee interview sheet I filled out and returned through Microsoft teams the talent Acquisition hiring manager Ludwig Clupka for Tux Creative Co, then responded saying congratulations i got the job and sent a offer letter to sign my name address and number and email I Printed out signed and sent screenshots back he then asked about direct deposit information and asked for voided check i told him i didn't have any he then proceeded to almost pure pressure me into getting my account information never sent tax forms company policy hand book then he said he would send me a pdf of a check he wanted me to endorse take pic with my mobile app and send back a picture to move further with hiring process the cashier's check was for $3,748.88 I did not deposit I stopped communications that's when I realized it was a scam and my personal information was compromised I researched the company website and it seemed generic and off like it was make shift. I do remember applying for this company on indeed putting extensive efforts to acquire the job but I have never had a job ask me as a requirement to deposit that amount of money to my account without some notice in job description as sign up bonus or stipend. And even as such these would have had some sort of receipt invoice or authorization documents I also wanted to add when they initially sent me a offer letter it was addressed to another name for a different position I asked if they sent to the right person then they resent with my name updated this leads me to believe others were being targeted at the time of my supposed hiring process I reported it to my welfare to work government case worker she informed me that this was a scam and that I should report it before they steal more information from unsuspecting job seekers as victims of fraud.
