2. On Sep 30,2024, the scammer sent me a job offer saying i passed the screening test and asked to accept the offer with ID proof. I accepted the offer and sent my Drivers License and Employment Authorization Document.
3. The scammer sent an email saying i need to purchase some equipments to setup my home office and they will be paying upfront.I need to purchase the equipment from their registered vendor. The person sent a check and asked to deposit in my account.
4, I deposited in my account. Bank cleared the check and money got credited on Oct 1,2024.The person asked me to transfer the credited money to vendor. The vendor was office supplies hut. I transfered through wire.
5. Again the person sent an email saying there is a pending amount for purchase and another check will be send. I was doubtful at this moment. I called up Grand Canyon Education directly and verified. They replied to me after one day saying the job offer is a scam.
6. I contacted my bank and informed about it.
7. But on Oct 4, 2024, bank took the money back saying the ckeck was not valid.h they credited after clearing the check.
8. Now i am responsible for the money which i transfered through wire. The scammer gave a fake check and made me transfer the amount through wire. Now i lost all my money
