Type of a scam Employment
coach job that I had found on LinkedIn. To set up the interview, I was to contact another person who is really employed by the company through
microsoft teams for a text based interview. I did that interview, asked a few
questions, and asked to speak to a person. They said I had a second round phone interview and that scheduled that. The person that called had an accent, asked more interview questions, and offered me the job and told me to reach out to the microsoft teams person for the paperwork. They
sent hiring paperwork from that original email address that included contact information, some tax-related info, and bank
account info for direct deposit. I asked some questions about the tax thing since it wasn't an actual tax form
but they said I'd get the actual tax forms from my supervisor. I gave some of the information requested. All the communications were with names of people that actually work at the legitimate company and they used logos and branding and a copied job description, so it looked like the real job posting I had seen originally. I then saw the job posting from the actual company on LinkedIn again, and the pay range they listed was very different from what I was being offered. I called the number listed on the website and they confirmed that the email address offering the interview was not them.
