I answered a call on my personal cell phone (as I was expecting an outside call) with an area code indicating Toronto. The person said he was Jordan from what sounded like "BMC" - he spoke very fast and I asked him to repeat a couple of times (why i did not hang up then and there is baffling to me). He said he was just calling to confirm my work details... he knew my job title, the organization that I work for, and my company email address. Of course, he asked me if that was correct and I STUPIDLY said yes. The call was brief after that and he was done.
