How many sketches do you provide before the final stage ?
The logo will be used in diverse ways and locations like Websites, Business cards, Signs and banners, Products and packaging, Invoices and forms, Social media profiles, Business vehicles.
My targets are private companies both Local and international.
My competitors : Direct Trucking, BDG International, Inc, West Forwarding Services, Kiswani National Inc.
As earlier mentioned, my budget is between $600-$650.

The designer sent emails replying with trying to set up a virtual meeting at the clients' schedule and gave their mailing addresses and phone. Another email was sent to the potential client with drafted docs of the project proposal and contracted for review

Good Evening, How are you doing ? Just want to let you know that your acceptance to work on the Logo is a BIG relief for me. I can assure you that we are definitely sincere and genuine and looking forward to completing the work with you.
Just a quick update to let you know that you will be receiving the Check payment anytime this week as i mentioned earlier this week that the check has been mailed out.
Once I received the tracking number. I'll forward it to you through email and text message
But please I have to put your attention to the check mailed out to you, Our financial advisor just informed me about the amount on the check. Please, there was a little mistake when writing the check, Instead of getting a separate check payment for you (Logo designer) and the printing supplier, He wrote both amounts (Logo designer and printing supplier) on a single check with your name written on it and already sent to you.
I already assure them on your behalf with our little conversation that the check is 100% safe with you to cash. Please I want you to consider things to be done properly once you receive the check in your address. Please follow the normal process of depositing the check. The check should be deposited into your account and once you have the funds available in your account, You should deduct the full amount you charge for the Logo to be able to complete the logo designs and forward through email. And the rest will be refunded through a check or Money order. You can also let me know how easy it is for you to refunded the money ?

Good Morning, Welcome to the new day. Just a quick update to let you know that you will be receiving the check payment sent to you today.
The payment will be delivered to you via UPS, the shipment tracking number is (1Z474EW00192644769).
Once you confirm you received the check, kindly make sure you go straight to your bank, otherwise you can make use of your mobile deposit through your cell phone. For your information, part of the funds would be immediately made available for withdrawal while the balance will be available the next day and we are good to go in finalizing the designs.

I asked for a deposit of $250 upfront, half of the cost of services paid upfront as a deposit, and then once both documents (the project proposal and the project contract,) were signed and the check deposit was cleared then work would begin.
I quoted this project costing $450.00 and asked in my proposal for 50% as an upfront deposit which would be $225.00 they went on to send a cashier check for an exorbitant amount of money $2,450.67 and as mentioned above in one of the emails from the client that I directly copied over- their Financial person put in the wrong amount on the check and they want me to deposit it and then send back the extra money.
Things started getting fishier as they never wanted to set a virtual meeting and they also supposedly sent the payment before both documents were signed. They could have canceled the check. They only signed one of the two documents and I sent out email reminders too.
A lot of the other details given are also not adding up.
The potential clients' business says they're basing themselves in Spokane, Washington, the check itself has a California address on it, and the envelope the check came in is from a person named Carmen Huntley at an Office Depot somewhere in Wyoming, Michigan. Then the phone number the client called me at says it came from Ohio. I was curious about the English language used in the emails too but I wasn't sure if the potential client didn't know English well or if it wasn't their first language or something.
I have never heard the name Carmen Huntley nor do I know who this is either, as I have supposedly been conversing with Jose Barbosa.</[email protected]></[email protected]></j...⇄
