Eventually I just had my bank reverse the charge for that month’s supply, and sent an email to Joyous stating cancellation. A week later, my bank explained that Joyous demanded the charge back, citing “subscription policy.” I emailed Joyous once again, this time asking for a refund. Their reply: we are a subscription service, and the monthly charge occurs on the 1st of the month, no matter when shipping occurs, and this charge covers everything for the month including: daily check-ins (automated - not live, of course), “monitoring” from the care team, “access” to medical providers, and “medication + shipping.”
But that's the problem: I hadn’t, and haven't, received ANY of the above services from them this month, let alone the actual supply of medication. I asked if not a refund, then would they be sending me the 1-month supply of medication they were paid for. Their response: no, because you requested cancellation and aren’t under our care anymore, BUT if you us pay again now to renew your subscription, then yes we’ll send it.
They scammed me out of my $129 on December 1st. I looked around online and found dozens+ reviews citing similar experiences with Joyous. I see here on ScamPulse.com that someone from Joyous replies to all the complaints, and disputes everything each consumer says. I expect they'll do the same to me, but, there's no way around the facts: Joyous was paid, and Joyous did not provide the agreed-upon service or product. Just a matter of time before regulators catch up to whatever MBA-grad mid is running this place.
I am wiling to discuss what I know with news media.
