Someone called my law firm and left a voicemail saying she needs a personal injury lawyer. When I called back she said she works for the Jewish communication center and would like to do a referral service and does not actually have a case herself but several referrals. When I met with her at a Starbucks I asked her if she is really affiliated with the community center and she finally admitted she was not. I took her business card and told her I’ll contact her if I’m interested. I then blocked her number. She is leaving a message pretending to be a client, then she pretends to be affiliated with a well known non profit, then she makes her sales pitch. Very deceiving practice and a huge waste of my time.
