I received a call from 888-525-3239 telling me that they were a process serving company with an option to press 1 to speak with someone about the matter. I was then transferred to a person who said they were looking up my case file then told me I was being sued. They confirmed the last 4 of my social security number and my full name. They said that I was being sued by CITI Financial in the amount of $4151.83. They said that I paid on the account for 2 years then stopped paying. I tried to confirm information about the account. The man who identified himself as Nataleya could not confirm when the account was created, when my last payment was or anything else that I asked. I mentioned that I had a bankruptcy he stated the year of my bankruptcy and said that this debit was not included in that bankruptcy and that he had no info. When I asked for time to confirm what he was saying, he became verbally combative and rude, eventually stating that he would "just get the judgement" from the court and begin wage garnishment and hung up.
