I went to Mr. Sulekoiki and told him that the house seemed to have defective molding. He dismissed me. So, I went to an attorney and we drew up a case against him. I sent it to Mr. Sulekoiki and he relented. He removed and replaced all of the outer molding. The wood was an indoor grade. He replaced it with plastic boards. So, that problem was solved.
But a couple of years later I started experience water leaking in from my kitchen window on the second floor. I repainted the house and caulked around the molding on numerous occasions. But the dripping kept coming back. It was an unending battle.
And, I am half of a duplex that Kady Group built. So, my neighbor was having the exact same problem. They had their boxes in the front completely rebuilt. And during that process, I asked the contractor what was the underlying cause. He stated that the plywood was indoor grade and that the joints between the panels were not caulked at all. I told him that Mr. Sulekoiki claimed that the leaks were from the need for paint. He laughed and said that paint would not have fixed the problem. I agreed.
The entire outer wooden boxes were built with indoor grade plywood panels and molding. The work was horribly substandard and Kady Group refuses to admit to their mistake and has left me with this terrible financial burden to fix it.
