Victim Location13053 Total money lost$49.99 Type of a scamOnline Purchase
The seller offered a fabulous product (hammock) on their website. I went ahead and ordered the hammock that was on sale for $49.99. I used PayPal for my online purchase.
I later received a totally different product (hammock) than what I ordered. See pictures attached.
I informed the seller of the discrepancy and the only communication with them was through email.
They asked for the photo of the product I received. Then said they would check with the warehouse.
No such luck of my hammock being in the warehouse. So, they wanted to offer me $25.00 back for my inconvenience. I informed the seller that all I wanted was the product that I paid and had the receipt for and I was then informed that the product was not being made at this time.
I then asked for a full refund and free return of the unwanted product that they sent.
I received another email stating that they were not responsible for the shipping and I replied by saying send me the address.
I ordered my hammock in Oregon before I moved out to New York. I have a friend who ordered the exact product but of a different color before me in New York.
My friend received the same unwanted product. So, not only were they scamming me on the West Coast but also scamming people on the East Coast.
They did not know that we were friends or pay attention to the fact that both orders were to be delivered to same address.
Attached photo is what I had ordered which is no where near what I received. I received an ordinary Walmart orange Hammock.
