Type of a scam Employment
The individual i spoke with was named Damian Nova, claiming to represent Kandor Management Corp (though the zoom account he used was [email protected], not a business email). He claimed someone named Rachel sent me an email regarding my application from Career Builder, i told him no such email had come in. Suddenly, an email comes in from Rachel Eckerle ([email protected]) reading as follows:
Hello Taylor,
The Zoom application has been used to schedule your interview session.
? Mr. Damian, the Talent Acquisition Manager has contacted you to proceed with your session.

Rachel Eckerle.

I had an interview over zoom's messaging system, though none of my secure info was exchanged. He stated after a couple hours that my interview went well and that they want to offer me a job. Rachel then sent me an email short after containing an offer letter (a .pdf file with a Kandor Management Corp header and watermark, and allegedly signed by the CEO), and a direct deposit form. I was already skeptical, and spoke with a friend and my partner to assist in digging some information up about them.
I then checked the email over again and saw that even though it contained a signature for Kandor Management Corp, the email was sent from the [email protected] account. I checked into kandorbrands.com, and the website was flagged for a lack of security.
I wrote Damian back over Zoom's messaging system and told him i would be declining and explained why -- because i was seeing red flags that this job is a scam offer and not legitimate. He wrote back, sending me the link to show the brands linked together (kandorcorp.com/our-brands), claiming that kandor management Corp was a parent company to kandor brands. There is no evidence of such on their site.
I called and emailed kandor management Corp (using their [email protected] email listed on their page, as well as the contact number listed on kandor management corp's Website, and eventually got an email back saying that kandor brands, Rachel, and Damian are not affiliated with their company.
