Website claimed they were breeders of Capuchin Monkeys & we agreed upon me purchasing one I chose from photo on Website. "Kiala," was supposed to be only 15weeks old & only ½-Price at $1500, because they needed room for new infants about to be born. We agreed on payments, where I would send 1 - 2 Gift Cards/month, with final $300 due when I picked her up. They texted their address, I drove 3 hours to get there, only to find a homeowner who knew nothing about "monkeys." She notified me its a scam, said she gets people coming there all the time, & that someone just stopped by looking for a kitten. I immediately went to their local Police Department & filed a report. Officer said they have lots of reports filed for that address. Whoever this Scammer is, chose that address & is using it for all "his" scams. (Those poor homeowners!) These Scammers request American Express Gift Cards, because they think they can't be traced. However, of course, the Bank who owns those Gift Cards is going to know what Bank or Merchant their Gift Cards were used at. When I checked the available balance on the Gift Cards, one was still uncashed. So, I called the number on the back of the card & reported the fraud. The Representative took down all the card numbers, deactivated the unused card, & ordered a replacement for that card, to be mailed to me immediately. Then, he continued to tell me the Name & Address of the Merchant, where the rest of the Gift Cards were cashed. I Googled the Merchant, found their Website, Phone Number, Owner's Name, & a terrible ScamPulse.com report. (Go figure!) I was more than happy to report all the new information I had just learned, to the Police Officer who took my report. I was Scammed out of $1300 & I can't wait to see these guys caught! I just may drive 3 hours, one-way, to attend their court date!
