Then the day of shipping came, and this is where everything fell apart. Seller contacted me asking if I'd gotten any info, I said no, but checked my email. There was something from a "MajestyCargoShipping.com," claiming to be "Swift Transit Courier Service," with another webaddress of www.swift-transit.online when you hover over the majestycargoshipping.com. It claims to have an International scan (but coming from WA to MI, it shouldn't). When I went to MajestyCargoShipping's website, I couldn't track the shipment. Seller contacted me with "Oh, it's an S, not a 5," but it's obviously a 5 on the tracking number. Also, the city on the airport is spelled incorrectly, something like Spoakne, rather than Spokane.
Through this, I found out about petscams.com, and read about what to do, and what to expect. I didn't realize these things were so prevalent, and I decided that if anything else went wrong, I would be contacting you and any other agency I could in order to stop these people from doing this to anyone else.
Contacted the seller back, letting her know that if this is a scam, just tell me. After that I received an email from a "FairFirst Pet Insurance," which appears to be a Sri Lankan company, stating that I needed to purchase Refundable Pet Insurance from them, and that they would reimburse me. If I did not purchase this insurance, I would be charged with all kinds of crimes. I responded that I knew they were a scam, and that I would be reporting them to the BBB, the FBI, and whatever other agencies I could to get them shut down.
Seller contacted me, saying she would pay for the crate (which she should have already), but that I would have to pay for the insurance, because "it's your dog." However, I asked her for the total amount to ship the dog, and this was never once mentioned to me. I told her that I was reporting her to the ScamPulse.com as well, and she said that I can report myself to animal control. My local Sherriff's Office says there is no dog. I know I'm out the money, I just want to stop this heartache for anyone else.
