I was involved in a scam on instagram with apparently an imposter , the company they were using is Keller Williams real estate group , that company is real but this person is using that name and the company’s logo , I was talking to the fake agent through instagram applying for the apartment and they sent the application fee which was $200 after that they asked if I can pay the security deposit and the first months rent to hold the apartment and I decided to send the security deposit, afterwards he said he was going to talk to the landlord , it’s been a week and I had to contact that person to see if he got in contact he said he had to set up a day to meet with this Landlord I started to realize something wasn’t right I started to reach him he wasn’t keeping me updated, I stared to search the name of the company and I found out that there’s an actual company but this person wasn’t part of it I called the company and they told me that it was a scam they been getting called for the same reason so now I lost about $1250 that through Zelle
