Through the website , Indeed, I was looking for a part time job when I stumbled upon a location evaluator job. I applied to it and a couple hours after applying to it, someone by the name of kenneth may contacted me . They explained that they were a recruiter for a secret shopper company and that they needed some extra info ( address, name ) from me so that they could set my account up and send me my first assignment to do. A couple weeks go by and I get a letter in the main from a " friendly carrier " from Las Vegas which was the first flag. Then I opened the letter and found a check for $2630 ,which I thought was very strange , and a list of instructions for me to do. The instructions list that I should deposit the check and text the number 774-728-2809 to confirm that I processed the check. Then they wanted me to go to Wal-Mart and buy $1000 worth of gift cards. By this time, I already figured it was a scam, the situation was too good to be true. I didn't bother reading the rest of the list and decided to report them. Don't fall for them! If you get a check Before doing any work for being a secret shopper, it's most likely a scam! Don't cash the check!
