They sent me a picture of an arrest warrant via text message and had me read the whole thing aloud. I was then transferred to a Lt.Owen who explained how I needed to take care of this asap to prevent getting arrested (stated I would get arrested if I encountered law enforcement, TSA, etc without getting this issue resolved first).
He said to resolve this issue he would remain on the line with me as an escort of sorts while I drove to collect money ordered totaling $3,000- this would all be “refundable”, seeing as the next steps were to take these money vouchers to the federal or county department in my area. I would sign a few documents, show ID, and then everything would be resolved.
I had this Lt. Owen on the phone as I made my way to. Walmart to get this first voucher- verbally instructing him my directions along the way. When I arrived he sent me three Walmart barcodes via text, and instructed me to go to the money service counter and say “I would like to put $1000 on my Go2 account”. He instructed me not to speak too loudly, he was on the phone the entire time. I only made the transaction once via debit card, then I realized it was a scam after he instructed me to go to another Walmart since this one would only put $1000 on the account. With the Walmart employee I only gave her my name, I punched in my PIN and area code on the screen for the transaction.
