Marijuana program. A few days ago I was contacted by the Kentucky Marijuana card program stating I can apply for the card, pay $125.00, then talk to a Dr. on the phone to see if I qualified. Right after that there was an article in the Courier Journal of a scam going around, that the card was not available until 2025. I called my bank and they were able to credit me back for the $125.00. Then yesterday I received an email as a reminder that my appointment with the doctor by phone was today at 10:30am. I just figured I would not get the call however I was in my car and about 11:00am est, I did get a call from someone that said they were the Dr. to discuss my request. I did not say much, and in the end I thanked her and soon after i received two emails, one has the Kentucky Marijuana Card on it's stationary stating the name of the doctor and license number and stating that after completed an assessment of my medical history and current medical condition, that my medical condition qualifies under order KRS 218A. 1422.
I am unsure if this is a scam or could it be legit? Can you advise? I have a copy of the letter and other things I have received.
