Type of a scam Online Purchase
several days later, I get a text message asking if I still was interested in the puppy.
I receives a dog bill of sale with all the info needed and the purchase verification, I was asked to send the money to a Zelle account, and they said the puppy was going to be sent to us the next day. communication was great at all times, the person said they were telling me when they were at the airport. Once there I received an email form the shipping company asking to confirm my information (no payments requested and the tracking number worked on the website). Then, the seller told me he was going home as the puppy had been already checked in to be sent via airplane to me. A couple hours later, I get an email from the shipping company requesting I buy an insurance for $725 dollars in order to get the puppy. I adamantly refused to pay the insurance as carriers charge the insurance with the shipping bill, no separately. I contacted the seller telling him he deceived us not telling us about the insurance and that I was not going to pay for it, he needed to pay for it. Otherwise to go back to the airport and get the puppy because I was not paying the insurance. The seller (with an indian accent), said that he shipped the puppy and was now my rsponsability to pay for the insurance, that there was nothing else he could do. I told him I was not going to pay for it and to go back and claim the puppy as I did not longer wanted it. The seller told me to pay half of the insurance and he will pay the other half. I said no and he told me it was going to be my fault not his is the puppy died at the airport.
