This person above me is legitimate in their claims.

I received the same text this morning and googled the text message. That's what led me to this. Last year I lost thousands of dollars when I received a call from what seemed to be a legitimate call from the social security dept. It was an automated call that connected me to another person and, long story short, I lost my money. I was actually at the police station still on the call when the man eventually hung up but it was too late and my money was gone. This is why I don't believe anyone when it has to do with money, no matter what the story is. Whoever this is is probably across an ocean just like the majority of ppl who do this are. Sadly, Americans are seen as all being well off and gullable; we've not been proving them wrong...

I received a text message stated he was a businessman named Kevin Hughes. He stated he is a 55-year-old American Citizen (first concern, why he felt the need to say that). He was really moved by his pastor's sermon on Sunday this week about helping the less fortunate. As a result, he was here to help others a little bit with what he had. He was texting to find out whether I needed money to settle bills or take care of other things. Then it asked me to contact him at 725-260-4073 and he would be happy to assist me. I Googled the phone numbers, and it was a lending place named Community Choice Financial which had a posting that they were aware someone has been using their company name in order to try and get the receiving party (me) to pay a fee using a prepaid card. Therefore, I hit delete.
