Received call from "Key Bank" around 5:30pm sating that a credit card was attempting to be opened in his name. Knowing that the bank was closed I stayed on phone and starting googling information given to me. Within conversation he suggested that I contact the Better Business Bureau at 888-220-4545 to verify attempt and provide info if not real attempt. Did not give information knew it was a scam

When you call the number it says this is Key Bank 24 hour security department and your debit card has been suspended. Press 1 to reactivate and it tells you to put your 16 digit card number in. This is a scam. I don’t even have a debit card through Key Bank. Beware!! Scam!!!

Received text saying to call key Bank with given number. When called says debit card is inactive to reactivate enter social security number.

Caller identified as Bob Peterson called and said he was from Key Bank and requested the last 4 digits of SS#. I refused and asked why he was calling and he said he could not say unless I verified my identity. I have reported it to our account Key Bank advisors.
