I was contacted about a possible job offer from KForce. I got an text from an Edward Barbour saying that he saw my resume on MEWjobs.com and I qualified for Admin Assistant/Data Entry position. He said that I should contact the interviewer if I want the position and I did. I got "the job" and proceeded to fill out "paper work" and send it to my online supervisor. I was speaking with a Jessica McCracken, who was to be my online supervisor. She was giving me things to do,she was also giving me the run down of my job position and duties and the type of software I would need. She then went on to say, "Alright .The company has approved a check of $3,200 for you .The check will be used to purchase all the necessary equipment and softwares that you will need in order to carry out future tasks that will be assigned to you by the company .$2500 will be used to purchase certain equipment and softwares and $700 will be your start up bonus .Pending till then do you have personal funds available to purchase some of the equipment we will be needing now ?" exact words. I then replied, " I have some funds available, but how much would be needed from me?""IST OF EQUIPMENTS: Time tracker and Time Recorder, Laptop, Power Standby Desktop Computer, Insert-able Index Tab Laminating Machine and Bindings, Fax Machine, Printer and Ink laser toner, Mailing Machine, Digital Color Laser Copiers, Scanner, Shredder and Cutter, Attachable Audio And Visual Presentation Machine, Office Chair and Table, Computer Desk, File Cabinets, Bookcase and Safes.Here are the names of the software programs:Peachtree Complete Accounting Software, CYMA IV for Windows Accounting Software, MYOB Business Essentials Accounting Software and QuickBooks Pro Accounting Software. Have you used Peachtree or Quickbook software in the past ?So how much do you have available so I can tell you how to go about the purchasing and let you know what to purchase as well."I have not used either QuickBooks or Peachtree.I have available, $500."$500 should be enough to get some cards to activate the software I will be sending to you. You are to proceed to the nearest CVS store to purchase an electronic Bay(e-Bay) gift card or a Home Depot gift card .You can buy FIVE pieces of a $100 denomination.Once you purchase it I will give you further instructions .They will be used for t"he installation and activation of some softwares I will be sending to you .Is that clear ?I did that and came back and then went onto scratch the backings and send the photos of the gift cards to the email she provided. She then went on to send me on a goose chase to do some "training assessments" that needed to be completed in 2 hours. I completed the task and that when I got this message. 'Kindly hold on while I reviewI have read and gone through your assessment and it has been added to your scorecard that would be shown to you on the last day of training.You did great within my expectation.Keep up the good work.Congrats Shayla , Your start-up check has been approved." Thank you so much! V""That will be all for today, I look forward to a cordial and beneficial relationship with a sole purpose of making kforce Inc not just look good but be good at all times. Shorly after I realised it was a scam and said that I am reporting this is the better business bureau. And I havent heard anything from them since
