I was looking on this page to see what kind of horses he had. My husband and I found one on there that we were interested in, so I sent him a private message to ask him how much and where he was located. He told me he was asking $1000. and that he would deliver the horse to us for an extra $300. I told him that we could come and get the horse ourselves, because I didn't want to pay anything for a horse without seeing it first. He told me to first send a $300 deposit to hold the horse for us in case someone showed interest in it before we got there. He wanted me to send it through a cash app and let him know when I did it so he could confirm it right away. I told him I only used Pay Pal and he said that was fine, but to only send it by friends and family, and not as a purchase. On Paypal they have 2 options to send money, one is for goods and services, where you can get a refund if the item is lost or damaged, and the other is friends and family, where purchase protection doesn't apply. I told him I needed protection for that transaction and he told me that's the only way he does it, by using friends and family. I told him that I wanted his address for where we would pick the horse up and his phone number so we could contact him if he had a problem. He then gave me the address that I listed on the previous page and the phone number that I listed. Then he asked me if I was going to send the money now. I asked him if those were his kids in the pictures on the post riding the horse and he said yes. He said he understood my concerns but he was the page's administrator so I shouldn't worry. He then sent me some other posts from the page where other people had bought horses from him. I told him those posts could be copied or imitated from other places, they didnt necessarily mean anything. He told me I had to trust him and kept saying okay?, so that I would send him the money. My husband then called the number that he gave us and said that the number showed as an Indiana number and no one answered. I looked up the address he gave me and it just showed a place on the highway with 2 driveways going into it, kind of blurry and you couldn't see much. He kept asking me if I was going to send it now and that threw up a red flag for me, the whole interaction did actually. My husband called the police department in Sand Springs, OK to find out if they knew anything about the place being at that address and they said they did not. They also couldn't find any info on it or that person's name. Finally, I told him we were just not going to send a deposit, and that we would just drive up there and bring him the money in the morning. I asked him if that was okay with him and I never heard anything back from him after that. I think the whole thing is a scam, just to get that deposit from someone.
