I received an email from a Latasha Bradford regarding a position that was available with a company called Kirk Logistics as a Supply Chain Manager making $98,000 per year plus bonuses, benefits, and commission. I should have know it wasn't legit because upon further reflection the e-mail came from drumckeand@yahoo.com which is obviously not a professional email. At any rate, I emailed my resume as instructed if I were interested in more info at which point I received an email from a Helen Richards. She gave me all this information making the job look nice and shiny. Told me not to worry about experience because they'd train and even set me up with a phone interview and had me sign a 30 day "trial contract" and complete an application. She put me in touch with a Phillip Wheeler and Matthew Walker who were supposed to be project managers who had me submitting all these assignments that were supposed to be part of my training. They had deadlines and everything. Then they tried to obtain my credit card information. Saying that we were going to use it for purchasing but they'd link it to the company account so none of my own money would be used. I'd ignored all the previous red flags but this huge red flag I was not ignoring. I pushed back and they were like, well if you don't feel comfortable we'll find another project for you that doesn't deal with money, which they did however, after I submitted that project I didn't hear from them anymore. All of the emails we'd been using to communicate came back as undeliverable when I tried to contact them, I can't reach anyone at the phone numbers listed for them, and the website they were using has been taken down. I also never received the money that I was supposed to be paid for "training". They staged themselves as a transportation and logistics company from London that were expanding to the states, but when they were unable to obtain my financial information, they lost interest and moved on.
