The website kobaltssales.com is posing as the Kobalt tool company that may possibly be *only* sold at Lowe's Home Improvement. I made an online purchase, but never received an email confirmation, never had a charge on my credit card, and realized their Contact Us page address does not exist on any US map (2457 West Virginia Avenue Greenfield Ctr. NY, United States US 12833).
After submitting my online payment, I double-checked my bank account to see if the transaction went through; instead, I saw a new transaction for a different amount from a vendor I never heard of before "WPY*QUEST INTERNATIONA 929-527-1933 NY" which is also in New York state, by the way. Thankfully, the amount attempting to charge $79.00 was much smaller than the actual amount of my purchase of about $350. However, I still had to contact my bank first thing in the morning and "stop payment" to the phony vendor and get reissued an entirely new card.
Another thing to look out for is that the phony vendor also advertised as accepting "PayPal" but when you go to checkout there is no PayPal option - note: paying through PayPal requires PayPal's authentication service API which would be more difficult for a scammer to fake.

Never received the goods. The email address is not legit (per the mail delivery system notification I am sent when trying to reply to it). Now about a month later, the credit card I used to purchase has been hacked and I am concerned about identity theft. My personal email address was also used without my knowledge to subscribe to dozens of foreign sites, and I now suspect this may be the source.
