The scam was targeting those just coming out of school or those looking for a job to support their families. The scam was a sales job offered at $500 a week selling vacuums to anyone who would listen. I fell for it and ended up getting behind on bills and almost lost my apartment. They never paid money unless you made a sale (aka successfully lie to get them to pay 2000 for a vacuum)
