The next morning, I called Koskinen's and they said in order to pick up my car I would need to call them in advance and bring an all cash payment. I called them at 3:50pm and said I was on my way to the address they gave me (255 Elmira Road). I arrived at the location at 4:26pm and nobody from the tow company was there. I called 3 more times until someone finally arrived at 4:50pm, an hour after my initial call.
Ryan pulled up to the lot and demanded that I hand over the $243 in cash immediately. I asked him for proof that he worked for the tow company and if I could inspect my vehicle before payment to ensure there was no damage. He refused both requests and said he did not have any change, telling me to call the owner if I had an issue with it. I spoke to the owner who immediately started to berate and harass me because I was "making it difficult" for them. He said if I wanted my car back I would have to return at 8am the next morning with the registered owner of the vehicle and pay an additional fee.
I arrived the next morning exactly as had been requested, only to find that my vehicle was damaged and inoperable as confirmed by Hunt's Auto Service.
