Also dealt with similar situation. Felt a little weird when David tried calling at 9:30pm on a Wednesday so I looked into it. Had been emailing back and forth with Mary, they didn’t ask for any crazy info… the job was about a social media/ acting/ makeup crew/ pa thing for a real estate company. Online kozmoz is based in Ohio but this ad pertained to homes in Beverly Hills. If it’s too good to be true it is. Thankfully I didn’t meet up with them who know what would have happened. Stay away from [email protected] +1 (424) 478-9645 idk if they’re just time wasters or trying to get info on people. Scam was very odd not sure how they work. Address they tried to lure me to… even offered a car pool. No thanks lmao 1005 Laurel Way, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 be safe kids.

I am a part time nanny and get most of my jobs through care.com. A man by the name of Scott L. (it is not common for families to use their last name for safety reasons) posted a one time job on care.com and the hours and fare worked with my requirements so I responded. He got back to me a day or 2 later on the app and asked that I call him to discuss the job. We set up a call for later that day. I was immediately thrown off because he started talking about a full time position. I interrupted him saying he only posted a one time babysitting job and that's all I was looking for to which he responded "sorry this is my first time on the app". He asked me normal nannying interview questions : how I work with kids, what my nannying style is, my rate, etc. He even asked for 2 of my references. Another common thing for parents to ask a nanny is to agree to a background check. He wanted one done for me, but he said that through "his work" he had access to id.me and it was free of charge for him. He said his "HR" would be contacting me with the link to set it up. I made an id.me account and he told me to wait for a second link. The second link came, but it wasn't working on my end. He wouldn't stop calling me, which became a red flag since I've never worked for a parent who calls repeatedly. The "HR" woman is Mary Mastrosavas. The woman's name I entered above with her email. She was the one sending me the links and she is also not "HR", she is the co-founder of Kozmo Investments. I start getting concerned with the situation, so I look up Mary's name and her name and exact email address are tied to many scam reports made by other people. Saying the exact same thing as me. They reached out for a job and it never happened. As I'm reading about Mary, Scott calls again for the 7th time. I answer and tell him this isn't going to work and I will be blocking both him and Mary. It's disgusting and scary that they're taking advantage of nannies and people who need jobs. For nannies, it's extremely scary because many of us are young women. If his background check had been successful, he could have had my address or even asked me to come to his home. Kozmos Investments is not a legitimate business and anyone who works with them isn't legitimate either.

They made contact me via phone for security work. Emailed multiple times with multiple phones calls as well to sort out the job offer. After 4 days of no contact via phone or email, I started to get suspicious and really started to look into the company and the people "working" for the company. No information about staff, and no direct way of contacting the people who contacted me was available on the website. They sent me a link which I believed at first to have been legitimate in the process of hiring but has now been flagged as being unsecure. The job was high paying Security for high paying clients.
