Justin ******* initially replied to a post on Facebook for a job to enlarge our home parking area. He was in business with the people who run KDRIX Consulting, Tommy (828-400-6173) and Kricket Thomason (number noted with KDRIX). Tommy came to our home to complete an estimate. This was in late Sept./Early October 2022. The overall estimate was for around $10000 for the work, and they asked for $6000 for materials. We paid them by check in mid-October, which they picked up at our house, and were told we were on their schedule for the next dry week. In short, we then were put off, over and over again. Promises were made about when they would be available, weather permitting, and then the weather would be great and they would not show up. No material was ever dropped off for work, as they said it would be. It became harder and harder to actually get in touch with them, and there were stories about having "surgeries" and that those prevented any communication or progress. In February, we were told that they could not do the work until July. We told then that was not acceptable, and they said they understood and would "start the refunding process." Again, no communication explained why this did not get completed. In March, I sent a registered letter to their business address (noted here, listed at the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce), and to the company that their LLC was registered with. In that letter, and also via text communication, I informed them that if we did not receive our refund by April 14 (two months after they said they would refund us) that I would initiate other action. This report is one of those actions. An aside, Justin ******* parted ways with KDRIX, and reported to me that Mr. Thomason had immediately cashed our check after getting it. Mr. ******* has apologized to us for getting us into business with the Thomasons; perhaps he would be helpful to contact, his number is ************.
