Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I signed up via the form given and gave my phone number and address. I received a text message from this number 646-439-4295, and a person named "Michael Anthony" greeted me and told me he was from Kroger Secret Shopper. He informed me that my first assignment would be mailed to me. I received the priority mail envelope which included a two page letter and a cashier's check for $2400. The letter was asking me to go and make two separate WalMart money gram transfers. Both transfers were to be $1000 each. The money was to be sent to
Paul Brown at 2 Willow Glen NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30342 and Lawrence Anozie at 110 Spring View, Dallas, GA 30157. I knew that this was a fraud when I noticed none of the paperwork had Kroger on it and there were so many different addresses and people listed. I have been receiving repeated texts from Michael Anthony asking me if I have completed the first assignment yet. Today they told me that since I have not responded to them that the company has reported this case to the FBI and if I do not respond within 24hrs that the FBI will be at my doorstep.
