I had a similar experience. I reached out and demanded a refund. I was told I would get a refund within 4-6 weeks. I did this today, so I am still waiting for my refund. I just want to share so that everyone can follow through with this. The Contact Phone number for the Company is (866)301-2738.

I'm so glad I did research and found this post that made me dig deeper. Address goes to an empty space in a shopping center. ID number was invalid. I was beyond skeptical. Thanks for the post. I got sent two letter for both businesses. I love in the capitol so I was going to go to the state building Monday. They should really get ahold of this. Also the postage wasn't prepaid it has a stamp.

I received a form to purchase a Kansas Certificate of Good Standing for $75. It is a scam. The address on the form is for a UPS Store. With a little more searching, I found a registered LLC at this address. The LLC named is Office23124th LLC. The name of the organizer is Office23124th. It was signed by the organizer as "Random Person." The Kansas Business ID is 6689954. This is a total scam. At best you get a $10 certificate from the State of Kansas. At worst, you lose $75 and learn a lesson.

A few days after filing for my LLC, I received a certificate of good standing request form, claiming there was a $75 fee to be paid. I contacted the state and they told me it was bogus. If you wish to obtain a certificate of good standing from your state, you can do so online for a $10-$15 fee. They directed me to contact the Attorney General to file a complaint for malicious intent. However, I am not able to do so as it was addressed to my LLC and not myself.

I was sent a request form to purchase a Kansas Certificate of Good Standing for $75.00. Asking for a check or money order. The way it is worded it makes you think you need to do this in order to finish setting up your business. Their address is at a UPS store. the business name does not come up when you Google it.
