Mike Dexter, owner, gave us an estimate on a complete home remodel. We were told if we fully moved out the remodel could be completed in 2 months. We’re now in over a year & it is still not complete. We have paid him a total of almost $65,000 (none since Aug. 2020) & only owe him $5,600. I’ve gotten 2 other estimates so far, both of which have been more than $32,000 to complete the work he never finished. He’s been showing up a day or 2 ever 3 months. The last time we heard from him was in May. Today I went to meet with his local insurance company since he’s “insured & bonded” to see if there was anything we could do to get some of our money back. We found out that he has been using an old insurance # & that it’s not even relevant to the job on our house. I also found out that he did not request a single permit through the city. We don’t want anyone else to be scammed by this man. He also goes by Gene M Dexter, Gene Mike Dexter, Mike Kewenvoyouma, Gene M Kewenvoyouma, Mike G Kewenvoyouma, Gene Dexter Gene.
