I applied for the admin assistant position on ksl.com and when i did i attached a copy of my resume as well as general info about myself pertaining to the position(standard form on ksl that you fill out for all jobs through the website) I got an email within an hour or two that i was one of the potential 12 candidates they were considering for 5 open position and as a way to determine who they would hire they told me that they were going to have their "client" send me money for rental property for this months rent. And i was to take up to 14% of the total amount sent to me as "my commission" and forward the rest to the property owner. In the email there was a link that took me to a page where i entered my name address and phone number but after i did that no other info was given. So i went back to one of two emails they sent me(one with subject line and one without) i read it again. And it stated i would receive an email in the next week of where the money would be coming from how much i was to keep and where i was to send the remainder of the money. What really struck me as odd is that is all the info of the job i would be doing for them, nothing about other duties or expectations. Then it said after i processed the payment i would be receiving another email immediately after where i would set up the initial interview if i competed the task efficiently and promptly. At the end it did not ask me to respond that i had received and read the email but they would get notification i had opened it or read it not sure how they worded it. In all my years of working i have never had a company do anything like this before meeting me in person or at all to be honest. I just dont feel this is an honest company trying to hire people feels like one of those scams from nigeria(or somewhere like that) where they send you a check tell you to deposit it and keep some for your fee and forward the rest to someone else with the check being bad and the person depositing it into their account left to repay the bank for the bad check. There is no where to attach copies of the emails they sent me so just let me know if you want me to forward them somewhere.
