Type of a scam Employment
1. They redirect me to interview on a non-domain email with the recruiting manager by the name of Asano Ozawa, on Microsoft Team:

2. They first email they me to recruit, stating they found me through ZipRecruiter and I pass their first level of review. In the same email, they mistakenly attached someone else's employment contract offer, unsigned. But I highly suspect the employee name (a very generic Chinese name, Hsin Yi Lu) is not real, along with her fake apartment address in Long Island NY, are meant to be convincing that the job offer is real and a competition with the same title I will apply to hasn't signed the job yet. I searched Ms. Lu and suspect I might have found her as the only one living in NY with the name on Linkedin. The photo looks very flat and balanced, like it was AI generated...
3. After doing company background research, using their letterhead information attached to the email domain they sent me, I was tricked to believe them when they said the real Japanese company is expanding to US. They even provided a whole company intro and job offer letter with specific job requirements and skills in context. Therefore, there is not a lot of information online in English. It does exist on Linkedin, and the recruiter Masaya Linkedin doesn't have a photo. Since read Japanese, it makes it harder for me to differntiate the fraud until later. The actual Japanese pharmeceutical really exists and is quite famous in Japan, but the fraud email domain redirected to the Japanese domain, including an English page that the real company hasn't updated since 2017.
4. They initially have a series of instruction for me to Zoom with them for interview. Then claimed the Zoom account was deactivated, which I didn't find it suspicious at first, and they said they switch to Microsoft Team app. However, all 3 interviews were carried through text messaging and no video call was needed. It seems they want me to believe initially that it would be face to face, but some trchnical issues happened and now we have to text.
5. The text interviews contain very weird word choice and ambiguous steps for the interview process. Such as a agreeing to training after recieving hardware then after acceptance we can initiate video call. The order of events is confusing and I have to ask questions to clarify what the next step was. Being an expert on cross-culture business, at first, it seems very Japanese business beuracracy to follow these steps, but it became clear the steps are meant to keep you hook until you give in all your personal informations little by little. Starting from generic info found online like my work history and employment references, to residential address, to Bank affiliation, which they wouldn't need before I actually signed my contract.
6. The first interview they schedule it with me. But then delay their reply over time, which shows unprofessional behaviors, and suddenly they would say see you tomorrow at 8am for the decision result of your employment. They repeated this 3 times. Still, I have not recieved any contract.
7. I found out that Microsoft teams text message group cannot be deleted or unsend, even when the person is blocked, the prior message remains in the chat. Which is a perfect platform for scammers.
