I received a major warning message on my laptop that my computer had been hacked with a number to call for assistance. When I called the number, the person claimed to be a third party associated with Microsoft. I finally agreed to allow their workgroup to take over my computer and clean it plus purchasing a firewall program. The total amount was $699.98. I authorized a digital check from my bank and will immediately notify my bank not to process it after seeing the other reports about this company. I will also take my computer to Office Deport for a check tomorrow and report this action to Microsoft.

My daughter had a pop up that had the Windows logo, claiming that her laptop security had been compromised. She called the number listed and was told that they would charge her a one-time fee to help her get in touch with technician that would fix the problem. She gave them her account information and they charged her $99.99, had her log into Yahoo, and gained remote access to take over her laptop. They seemingly fixed the problem, however, there are now apps on her laptop that she didn't request. They haven't charged her account yet, but we are reporting the incident here and to her bank.

Scammer took over computer claiming a virus had been put on my computer, charged $349.99. And installed unwanted applications that had to be removed. Also renamed household devices, such as our laptop and printer, in their name
