They sent me a notice saying I owe $130 or I would face fines from the federal government. They are using fear tactics to overwhelm their victims into sending them money. This is deceptive and their goal is to come off as a government or federal agency demanding money for compliance. They cite federal laws USC Sec 666(i) that will result in penalties for non compliance with a fine of $7000 in bold.

This fraud company sent me yesterday a letter asking for $125 but found out it is fraud so investigated and found out they are scammers, reported them to the Fl attorneys office as well, I asked the BOC in NY and as assured this is not a valid company from the government

As with the other complainants, I recently opened a business in California and shortly afterward received a "Labor Law Compliance Notice" indicating that I needed to send $125 to this company for a compliance poster, or I'd be fined $7,000! Of course, this is a total scam - these posters can be printed or obtained locally at low cost.

The company is registered as follows:
Eduardo Jose Izaguirre, 5716 SW 140th Ave., Miami, FL 33183.
(786) 608-6883, (786) 873-2766; (786) 350-7559

I'd encourage filing a complaint with the Florida Attorney General's office: http://myfloridalegal.com/contact.nsf/contact?Open&Section=Citizen_Services

We recently opened a small business and received a Mail saying we have to order a poster by this company - LABOR COMPLAINCE ASSISTANCE and pay a check of $125.00 to them. The address of this company is in Florida.

We did so and received a paper poster by them which would have costed us free online or for minimum payment of $15- $30 maximum.

They said we had a 30 day return policy if we didn't want the poster.

Unfortunately our business didn't start and we thought of returning the poster to them. That's when we realized that there was no way to contact them. They didn't have any phone number or proper email to reach them. We tried to check with our bank as well but even the bank didn't have any details. We would really appreciate if you could help us get our money back.

I recieved the same same letter by mail, so is it real or a scam? It comes from florida and my sole prop is in illinois.

- Salem, OR, USA

I did not lose any money to this scam but the letter does look "official." The giveaway was that it is a Florida address for an Oregon LLC. Plus, my LLC is for me only; they wanted me to post labor laws.

Scary thing: they had all of my LLC info.

Labor compliance assistant trying to charge me $105 dollars or be faced with an $7000 fine later.

- Berkeley, CA, USA

Received notice (Labor Law Compliance Notice) via snail mail - requesting $105.00 for State/Fed. Labor Law Poster set for workplace or risk fine of $ 7,000. They provided return envelope addressed to: "Labor Compliance Assistance" PO BOX 961060, Miami, FL 33296. Hallmark signs of scam were, no business phone number, web address, asking for credit card number and charging an additional $4.95 service fee, no real address (po box only). Reported scam to us Dept. of Labor as well. These posters and info are free and the gov't doesn't require you to pay anyone for this service. You can pay a legit company for this service, and they will make sure all of your posters are compliant and up to date, but it's completely up to you as a business owner.

Not one, but two attempts within 2 weeks to get me to send this "company" $105 for a compliance poster. Both letters were identical and sent 2 weeks apart. Using scare tactics to pressure small businesses to send them money for a useless poster that can easily be downloaded and printed from official government sites. If you look at the detachable/returnable portion of the letter, there is no recording of who's account this alleged poster belongs to! It is simply a payment slip requiring payment information only. Typically, most all companies have a phone number to get more information, but no phone number is given, just a bogus email. The email provided doesn't even belong to a registered company. These [censored] tried to scam the wrong company.
