Lakeside Recovery Solutions is very aggressive

This is essentially a debt collection agency owned by Louis Mendez and his brother Damien Mendez, and they routinely push the edge of the envelop when it comes to the FDCPA and violating it. They pretend to be a law firm and that they are going to send a process server to you that day or the next day if you don't pay, and they have no intention of doing that. If you dare to talk back, they will become quite rude and say some very questionable and objectionable things to you. Most collection agencies won't take it that far, but they will. And if you hang up on them, they will call you right back and still say rude things to you. So, this is not your typical debt collection agency.

Lakeside Recovery Solutions called my husband and then myself regarding “a court action” in which our daughter had “48 hours to” respond. The call was highly aggressive, and replete with legal sounding buzz words.

I believe the debt to be fictitious, but even if it were legitimate, it would be time-barred from collection. Statute of limitations is generally 4 to 6 years, and they claim they are collecting for a 2009 supposed charge that he said was $201.04, but with penalties etc. was now something like $557.00. By that time I realized I was being scammed.

During the phone call, the scammer made attempts to collect from me, although the was incredibly careful how he phrased his conversation.

I believe they have captured personal information, and are attempting to scam my family.
