 Consumer was helping her disabled client find a reasonably priced rental property on rent.com. Consumer emailed Larry and he got to her the next day. He claimed that he just moved out of state and can't make it to do a face to face showing of the house because of other things going on in his life. He suggested consumer look through windows to view the house and if they like it, then they would let him know and they would start the application process. In order to start the application process, he was asking for money upfront. Larry said not to worry about the for sale sign in front of the house, that he didn't get the chance to take it out. He said he was just looking for a good tenant to occupy the house. The cost of the rent was $500 a month, plus a $500.00 deposit, all utilities included.
